MOLECULAR EPIPHANY - with snake hug

This is the front cover of a doctoral thesis in chemistry. The front illustration tells the history of how the researched molecule was originally discovered: by Kékulé, in a daydream involving a snake.

The back illustration shows, according to the client, how science and academia works, with lots of fantasies and fictions.

Part of the project was also the graphic design of the covers, setting the stage for the illustrations.
